Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. |
The national organization of the Vietnam Veterans of America was granted a congressional charter in 1986 as a non-profit veterans' service organization. Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc., Chapter 500, is one of many chapters in the nation and was chartered in 1990 as a 501c19 tax exempt veterans service organization. Chapter 500 participates in community volunteer service, projects, social and community events as well as awarding scholarships to deserving high school graduates that are attending an accredited college or university. VVA500 acts as a resource center for all Veterans. Our Color Guard participates regularly in local functions and has been the recipient of many awards over the years.
