HONORING NATIVE AMERICAN VETERANS

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Dugan Aguilar, and I am one of many Native Americans who served my country in time of war.  The Fall magazine, News from Native California, has an article about my veteran's photography show, Honoring Hudessi, which would serve as an introduction of me.
California has a great number of Native Veterans who deserve to be honored.  They have served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and recent conflicts
In February, 2003, the California Military Museum will present a display honoring the Native American Code Talkers of World War II.  The museum, located at 1119 Second Street in Old Sacramento, is dedicated to the preservation of California's military history.  I would like to show our appreciation to all California Indian Veterans by honoring them during this show.
I am asking  each casino or tribal government to sponsor at least one representative from its area.  The sponsorship would be approximately $500.00 for each representative.  The money would be used for the representatives' travel, accommodations, food, and plaques.  A publication would also be printed with each honoree's photo and a brief biography of military service.
Please spread the word that we are looking for sponsors, and pledge to become a part of this important event.

                                                                                 Sincerely yours,
